‘Robbie’ (FTCh Hatchfield Feargal ex
Endacott Guinea FTW) is a good going,
biddable dog with exceptional marking
ability and won his Novice (East Midlands
Gundog Club) at 2 years old.
He was 2nd in his first 2 Day Open Stake
at the very challenging ground of the
Glamis and Fotheringham Estate in
Scotland (Strathmore Working Gundog
Club) and the following year was 2nd at
Ampton in the Midland Counties Field Trial
Society 2 Day Open Stake. |

In
the 2008 season, despite limited runs, ‘Robbie’
received a CoM at Three Ridings (walked-up)
immediately followed by a CoM at The South
Eastern Gundog Society’s 2 Day Open Stake at
Balcombe (driven). I think this has definitely
proved his temperament and that he is a truly
versatile dog. Later in the season he also had a
CoM at the West of England Labrador Retriever
Club OPen Stake (driven).

‘Robbie’
is an excellent water dog and was ‘Top Retriever’
at the Holkham Country Fair in 2005, one of the winning
SEGS’ Team, only dropping 2 points in two days of tests.
He has also won the Labrador Retriever Club Water Test
and SEGS’ Open Working/Water Test.
In
2007 he was due to take part in the England Team
Selection Tests for the CLA Game Fair but regrettably he
was lame and unfortunately the Game Fair was cancelled.
Hopefully I will get the chance to try again in the future.

As
well as competing in Field Trials, ‘Robbie’ also
picks-up on local shoots in West Sussex and I enjoy
nothing more than his company, together with my
other dogs just quietly walking in the countryside.
I am looking forward to trialling him again next season,
with the hope that his luck will eventually turn, and
this year ‘Robbie’ will also stand at stud.

Mansengreen
Fuijiko of Ranalagh – ‘Flute’
Born 02/05/2005

‘Flute’ was bought in specifically as a mate for ‘Robbie’.
She is bred in the purple, being out of that outstanding
quality bitch run by Nick Eaglen FTCh Shorthorn Ninja of
Mansengreen, who was 2nd in the 2000 IGL Retriever
Championship at the Kinpurnie Estate, Dundee, Scotland. |

She
is a half sister of FTCh Mansengreen Diesel of Birdsgreen and also
half sister
to FTCh Mansengreen Bizzy of Brindlebay and is sired by Gilly Nickols’
lovely fox red
dog FTCh Tasco Rouble of Bedgebrook.
Although to date ‘Flute’ has only run in two trials
I have seen her undoubted game
finding and hunting ability and very much look forward to her going
into Opens,
where I feel she will maintain the standards set by my other Open
dogs.
‘Flute’ is intelligent and a real hunting machine and
hopefully will be having pups
from Robbie come June 2008 – something to look forward
to! |
